Brief:
Design a 24-page type specimen (a booklet that promotes the features and range of a typeface) featuring a variety of uses and a bit of charm using only the typeface itself throughout.
Concept:
I wanted to have a fun theme to create a cohesive identity for my specimen. After playing around with finding a meaning to the word "Hoss" itself, I instead opted for a theme I thought I could better execute, being the moss plant! I used this to develop a color palette and a standard of illustration around rocks, moss, sprouts, and worms, to add fun visuals throughout – though all illustrations and visuals throughout this booklet are made exclusively with glyphs from the Hoss typeface!
